Bumper Ride For Black Kitten

A Kansas motorist was puzzled by hearing faint sounds like miaows every time he drove his Chrysler utility van.

He didn't own a cat but still had a good look around inside and out of the vehicle to see if he could locate the source of the noise but could find nothing.

He took the van to a repair shop where the mystery was solved. When an employee pulled off the bumper he found a hissing kitten — skinny, dirty, hungry and dehydrated.

The kitten, who has since been named Bumper, had spent four hot days in the underbelly and engine compartment of the vehicle.

Bumper is now being cared for in a pet shelter and will be ready for adoption as soon as he has put on a little weight.

Already some 20 people have offered to adopt the little fella.
