PET food firm Nutro has announced a voluntary recall of two of its products. Nutro is recalling Nutro Natural Choice Complete Care dry food and Nutro Max dry cat.
The products affected have the 'best if used by' dates from May 12, 2010 to August 22, 2010.
The company says the food has too much zinc and not enough potassium, a production error by a premix supplier.
The countries affected are the United States, where the product is made, and 10 additional countries, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Israel.
Nutro says there have been no complaints from customers but advises cat owners to call the vet if their pet has eaten this product and has now gone off its food, has lost weight or is vomiting and has diarrhea. For more information, call 800-833-5330 or visit http://www.nutroproducts.com/.
