Mark Twain And His Cats

WRITER Mark Twain (famous for Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, among many others) was a renowned cat lover. When Twain, who was born in 1835, was asked: "What is better than a cat?" he replied: "Two cats!" He is also reported to have said: "When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade, without further introduction." Pictured below are three of his much-loved companions.
